Margaret Adams – Lead Governor
Public Governor for South Tyneside
Before her retirement Margaret held senior managerial posts in both NHS and a number of local authorities across the UK.
Since retiring, she has been involved with a number of voluntary sector organisations in South Tyneside. She has been a Trustee of the Carers Association, Chair of BLISS=Ability, and has chaired Health Net for over a decade. She wants to use her skills and experience to good effect as one of our governors.
Margaret has been actively involved with the Carers Trust and the Mental Health Service User movement on both a regional and national basis and is well informed on National Policy and the implications for both the Trust and their strategic direction.
Margaret has a special interest in quality and inclusion.
