After qualifying as a Doctor from India, I trained in General Adult Psychiatry within the Northern deanery with a special interest in Neuropsychiatry. I have been working as a Consultant from January 2015. I work in Acquired brain injury service in Watergate Park, treating patients with cognitive, emotional and behavioural difficulties following brain injury. I work in a Neurobehavioural Neurorehabilitation inpatient service providing care for patients following brain injury. I provide assessment and management of mental health problems in patients with Parkinson’s disease and involved in psychiatric assessment of patients undergoing DBS surgery. My interests are in assessment and management of behavioural changes after brain injury. My interests are in cognitive dysfunction with movement disorders and Auto immune encephalitis.

 

I have additional role as Assistant Associate Medical Director in Neurological services, South Clinical Business Unit. I coordinate Neurology Psychiatry quarterly joint teaching with Neurologists. I am an executive member for the Faculty of Neuropsychiatry at the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a Regional Specialty Representative for the Northeast at the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
