Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) is hosting virtual open days this month to showcase exciting job opportunities in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
The Trust has a number of opportunities for consultant psychiatrists and speciality doctors – and there couldn’t be a better time to join as services continue to develop.
Taking place on 18th and 25th February from 1-2.30pm, the events will give an insight into working in a Trust rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC. The virtual open days will give attendees the opportunity to interact with local consultants from a range of specialities, as well as a question and answer session with the Chief Executive and senior managers.
Dr Kedar Kale, Group Medical Director, at CNTW, said: “Our Trust has a strong culture of support, development and learning for all medical staff from work experience students to consultants preparing for retirement.
“We are serious about supporting a diverse workforce that reflects our local community and are very much focused on being an inclusive and compassionate place to work.
“We would encourage anyone interested in working in our services to join one of our virtual open days.”
All new consultants and speciality doctors coming into the Trust receive a structured induction and are provided with a mentor. All have access to Continuing Professional Development (CPD), feedback and information about their clinical activity to feed into the process. CPD events are run regularly and give consultants the opportunity to use their teaching skills as well as learn from others.
There are abundant opportunities for developing expertise in research, teaching and leadership (including individual coaching). Collaborative learning with other professionals, from both within and outside the Trust, is also encouraged.
Working for CNTW offers multiple benefits, from flexibility to ensure work/life balance, dedicated SPA time, to excellent CPD and study leave arrangements, and a strong focus on staff health and wellbeing. CNTW is a Global Digital Exemplar for Mental Health and has won the prestigious HSJ Award for Provider of the Year.
