IPS Employer Leaflet

We are a specialist NHS Individual Placement Support (IPS) Employment Service working in partnership with local employers.

Our aim is to build and support a network of inclusive employers who want to continue
encouraging a workforce that values individuals and embraces their differences.

We provide the employer and employee with support to enable good mental health in the
workplace and introduce those who want to work and / or return to paid employment.

Working with our IPS service makes sound business sense.

We have dedicated Employment Specialists in every part of Cumbria and North East England to help employers widen their candidate pool and diversify their workforce, even more important during this time of enormous change.

The cost of this employment support is completely free, provided to you by the NHS.

As a specialist NHS service, we can draw upon a range of business, health services and other organisations to provide a bespoke package of support.

IPS Employment Specialists are employed by CNTW working as part of our clinical mental health teams, identifying and supporting people who want to work. As well as being mental health experts, IPS Employment Specialists have practical business knowledge and experience. They work with each individual jobseeker to identify skills and strengths, create a support plan, motivate and prepare as well as offering practical guidance and resources to employers.

We have IPS specialists embedded in clinical teams across the whole of the Trust covering:

Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland and
North Cumbria.
