Brand new and developing Community Adult Eating Disorder Service (CAEDS) supporting adults with a diagnosed eating disorder, out in the community. Although, each team member is nominally based at REDS Intensive Day service, they are working mainly out in the community and into CNTW’s Community Treatment teams. The focus is to faciliate patient recovery in the community, with the aim of reducing the need for inpatient treatment, whilst trying to support the patient to remain as independent in their lives as possible. The focus of treatment is to improve physical and mental health with support from a full multidisciplinary team. We wil be supporting families and carers too, and building links with other services to help develop safe and effective pathways for patients.
